Perez doesn't want Rihanna to release a new album YET
Rumours & Gossips,,I want her to do well! Do YOU like the new music better than her previous efforts? I sure as hell don't!" - said Perez Hilton, who was disappointed with her new music.,, I am such a fan that I've felt so disappointed with the new music." - he said. Well, some of us are also disappointed. We can't compare her hits like Umbrella,Please Don't Stop The Music,Hate That I Love You,Shut Up And Drive,Take a Bow,Live Your Life and so many others with songs such as Russian Roulette and The Wait Is Ova.The songs are also beautiful, but we want the old Rihanna. She's R'n'B princess, the one and only, bad girl and full of energy. But it should not exaggerate with depression. We understand what's happened, but it only needs to be returned stronger, along with songs that will be able to show everyone that she is still the old Rihanna.and then, people say that Rihanna's new album may get pushed back. Not sure about this, maybe it's just plain gossip.Disappointed Perez tweet's Rihanna:
@Rihanna You have no one to blame but yourself if the new album doesn't do well.
Hmmm and what about this?? -
@Rihanna It's okay. You can always rush release another album next year! You're still a superstar and I still love you. We all slip up! xoxo
Sad.People say that they don't love Riri anymore,
they are not feeling her music. But Riri don't listen what we have to say,It's your turn
,you're still on the top,so Go girl!We wait too much for this and now, finally The wait is Ova.

Rihanna: Glamour Cover Girl December 2009
Other NewsRihanna graces the December 2009 cover of Glamour, on stands November 10.

The 21-year-old “Woman of the Year” opens up about how she coped after the Chris Brown incident, her message to young women and her new album. Some interview highlights:

On the photo of her bruised face being leaked after being assaulted by Chris Brown: “It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.”

On her message to young women: “My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”

On her personal growth over the past year: “I am stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.”

On her new album: “I’ve put everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. [My new album Rated R] is super fearless-which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place.”

Rihanna And Mariah Carey: Burglar Targets?
Rumours & GossipsThe Hollywood Hills Burglar Bunch, the group that burglarized the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom, among others, apparently also had eyes on Mariah Carey and Rihanna.

Photos of both singers were found on a computer the group had used to target celebrity victims. One of the photos shows Rihanna wearing diamond stud earrings. The Mariah pic shows the singer wearing long, dangling earrings.

There is no evidence the gang burglarized either Rihanna or Mariah. However, also on the computer were pictures of the other stars who the Burglar Bunch allegedly hit.

Fans Say Rihanna's Album Cover Is 'Dark,' 'Edgy'
MultimediaIn this age of digital music, it's unusual for a major artist to take her cover art so seriously. But Rihanna clearly has a stake in how she appears on the covers surrounding her new album, Rated R. The cover of the single "Russian Roulette" was already unveiled last week, and it cast Rihanna as a badass sorta-pirate bound by barbed wire. Today she revealed the proper album cover for Rated R. It's a black-and-white image that retains her new "R" logo and shows her covering her right eye (the same eye blackened by Chris Brown back in February). The image, shot by fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth (who has also worked with Britney Spears and Janet Jackson) is everything that makes Rihanna interesting: sparse, slightly futuristic and gorgeous.

But what do the fans think? We sent an MTV News crew to a rainy Times Square today to gather some reactions, and the results were decidedly mixed.

Many people saw the correlation between the covered eye and the altercation with Brown, but many more just seemed hyper-aware of the more "adult" vibe. "She looks quite scary and somewhat intriguing," one respondent noted.

"I like it, but it's a little dark," another added.

Based on "Russian Roulette" and now this album cover, it seems like there will be more musical comment coming from Rihanna about Brown. Rated R hits the streets on November 23.

What do you think: Is Rihanna's album cover a beauty or a beast? Leave your thoughts in the comments or head over to Your.MTV.com to make your voice heard!

The-Dream 'New Rihanna Songs Are Insane'
New MusicSinger/producer The-Dream has spoken about his involvement on the new Rihanna album 'Rated R'.

Backstage at the Izod Center in New Jersey this week, Dream said: "Me and Rihanna, she just cut the last of the two records we did. It's a record called 'Rock Star'."

"The first record is a record called 'Hard,' which features [rapper Young] Jeezy. Both of those records are pretty insane."

Ri announced last week that her fourth record will be released as soon as November 23 - the first single, 'Russian Roulette', was written by Ne-Yo.

Say What: Omarion Talks Rihanna, Dark Side
Other News“With God and the industry, it’s really dark. The dark side is having to get in, there’s a certain submission you need to have. Just like a gang [initiation], so to speak. You might have to do something against your moral code” Omarion, the Boom Box.

Speaking with The Boom Box recently, Omarion took aim at recent talk of the ‘dark side’ in the music industry. Admitting that he does not personally know Rihanna’s beliefs, the subject of original conversation last week, he does believe there are choices people make and are sometimes forced to make.

“I don’t personally know Rihanna’s beliefs but I think there’s a very dark and very sinister part of the entertainment business and I think it’s very visible. This is something that a lot of people don’t look at [but] Michael Jackson used to be a Jehovah’s Witness and I remember hearing that he wanted to separate from the religion — and this was during the time that he was doing ‘Thriller’ [which ended up being] his biggest album. Fast forward to now [and] it really made me think that there is a [time as an artist] where there’s going to be a choice. The[entertainment] world [dictates] that you have to be with three or four women, or do this in order to get that [and] I think it’s really interesting. With God and the industry, it’s really dark. The dark side is having to get in, there’s a certain submission you need to have. Just like a gang [initiation], so to speak. You might have to do something against your moral code. I’m not saying that it’s always this way, but when you’re someone that is young and you’re coming up in the industry and you really don’t have a grip on your morals it can be very dark. The game is just about over saturation. I don’t know if Rihanna [has fallen victim to those pressures]. I’ve never really heard her speak about it. I hope that she doesn’t believe in that stuff and I don’t think that she does, but I don’t know. It’s not just been a Rihanna thing, [there has been speculation] about a lot of artists.”

Rihanna Gets Advice from Jennifer Aniston
Rumours & GossipsEveryone enjoys giving Rihanna advice - even Jennifer Aniston!

The singer has reportedly been getting close with Aniston after her assault by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who is now on probation for five years after the incident.

“Jen has her fair share of imperfect relationships but not one of those men was ever disrespectful to her physically,” said Aniston’s movie producer pal Ray Manzella. “No one would dare lay a hand on her because they know they just couldn’t get away with it.”

And Manzella is hoping that she can sink in to the hitmaker. “Hopefully that will rub off on Rihanna. She needs someone who can set the example that no woman should be treated with anything less than respect. I think Jen’s the one to do that.”

The fun 40-year-old Aniston shared that she is the “go-to-girl” when her friends are in need.

“My friends come to me in tough times for advice,” she said. “I am the go-to girl a lot but I love that. I love helping friends.

And maybe her advice will help snag her a special man of her own soon! “I’ve been the recipient of great information and advice and a giver of it but when you are in need I think you have got to show up — whether it’s to celebrate or to console or whatever. I think it’s about consistency, loyalty and honesty.”

Chris Brown can’t stop tweeting about Rihanna
Other NewsDuring the wee hours of Monday morning, singer Chris Brown took to Twitter and posted a YouTube link to a photo montage of himself and Rihanna during happier times.

“I’m sorry y’all. Just had to post it,” was the accompanying text on the tweet, and the post immediately following said, “For the fellas: showing emotion doesn’t make u weak … being honest makes you strong.”

Sending tweets about Rihanna and what happened between them on Feb. 8 doesn’t break any laws (Brown’s stay-away order is still in place; his attorney Mark Geragos didn’t respond to requests for comment on Brown’s Twitter feed). But there’s something not right about using her for his own promotion.

At about the same time Brown's tweets about Rihanna were gaining buzz, he followed up with messages about his “I Can Transform Ya” video premiere on MTV planned for Tuesday, and news of his official album date. That tweet specifically included the directive, “Now blog about this … LOL.”

So Chris: here’s some blogging about it. Now, how about promoting your work without Rihanna’s help?

exactly lol

Rihanna: ‘Rated R’ Album Cover!
New ProjectsCheck out Rihanna’s new album cover for Rated R, out November 23rd!

The grainy black-and-white cover was shot by iconic photographer Ellen von Unwerth in Berlin on October 8-9 (after Rihanna hit up Paris Fashion Week).

Von Unwerth tells Popeater, “Rihanna was looking to create something a bit new for the look of the album. She’s so beautiful, sweet and tough at the same time–and a pleasure to shoot. We had so much fun giving her a bit of edge–I loved taking her beauty and finding a new dramatic look. She’s fantastic to work with–very giving, very creative, very involved in every aspect of the shoot, and ready to push the boundaries.”

RIHANNA’s NEW ALBUM – RATED R – HITS MONDAY, NOV. 23rd “Russian Roulette,” first new single pick –written by Ne-Yo – launches worldwide Oct. 20th on radio and on official Rihanna website. “Russian Roulette” video to premiere on ABC-TV. Long-awaited follow-up to 2007’s worldwide multi-platinum Good Girl Gone Bad. (October 20, 2009 – New York, NY) The wait is ova – for one of the most hotly anticipated new albums in recent history, as multi-platinum, award-winning Def Jam recording artist Rihanna announces the completion of her fourth original studio album, Rated R, scheduled to arrive in the physical and digital marketplace on Monday, November 23rd. Rated R’s first single pick, “Russian Roulette” will be launched at 11:23am EST on October 20th worldwide on http://rihannanow.com. The “Russian Roulette” video, directed by Anthony Mandler, will premiere in prime-time on ABC. “Russian Roulette” was written and produced by fellow Def Jam artist Ne-Yo, whose long track record with Rihanna includes the #1 hit “Unfaithful” (2006, from A Girl Like Me), their Top 10 duet “Hate That I Love You” (2007, from Good Girl Gone Bad), and #1 pop/ #1 R&B “Take A Bow” (2008, from Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded). In addition to Ne-Yo, other producers and writers on Rihanna’s new album include the team of The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Chase & Status, Stargate, Justin Timberlake and more. Rated R is the long-awaited follow-up to Good Girl Gone Bad (May 2007), which contained the non-stop string of hit singles that began with the MTV VMA and Grammy Award-winning global #1 hit “Umbrella” (featuring Jay-Z), then “Shut Up and Drive,” “Hate That I Love You” (featuring Ne-Yo), and “Don’t Stop the Music.” Good Girl Gone Bad spent 98 total weeks on the Soundscan chart, earned cumulative sales of more than 36-times platinum in at least 20 territories around the world, and spun off the CD+DVD package Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (January 2009) – which continued the string of hits with the #1 “Take A Bow,” and the #1 “Disturbia.” Good Girl Gone Bad was the third album release in less than two years by the 21-year old Barbados native Rihanna. It followed-up 2006’s RIAA platinum A Girl Like Me, which contained the back-to-back hits, “S.O.S.” and “Unfaithful”; and her RIAA gold debut from 2005, Music Of the Sun, featuring the world-wide smash, “Pon De Replay.”

NEW COUPLE ALERT!! USHER AND RIHANNA????
Rumours & GossipsMediaTakeOut.com just got its hands on this week’s issue of the National Enquirer. In it they’re saying that Usher and Rihanna are GETTING IT IN!!!

Here’s what they say:

"Usher has been making moves on Rihanna, and she seems to like him a lot, revealed an insider.

"He calls her at least twice a day and they text all the time - he tells her how beautiful she is and that he can't wait to show her how a woman is supposed to be treated"

OUCH!!! Was that a dig against Chris Brown. Wait there’s more:

Despite their mutual attraction, Rihanna wants to take things slowly with Usher.

"Even though they are very interested in each other, Rihanna refuses to be seen in public with him in a romantic setting until his divorce is final because he doesn’t want any drama with Tameka."

Not sure Usher can handle a chick like Rihanna . . . but they do make an interesting couple

Rihanna Accused of Stealing Album Cover from ECW Wrestler
Rumours & GossipsEarlier this week, Rihanna launched the first single from her upcoming album Rated R. The song, “Russian Roulette,” set the web on fire with its dark, moody beats and vague Chris Brown referencing. However, not everyone was so pleased with the single, including Extreme Championship Wrestling grappler Paul Heyman who is claiming that Rihanna stole the single's cover art from his 1998 compilation of jock jams.

In an interview with Britain’s Sun newspaper [via The Daily Swarm], Heyman said, "It's pretty obvious this was copied from, or at least EXTREMELY inspired by the ECW album cover. From the barbed wire and the right arm up in the air to the blood dripping off the logo.

"Hey, I don't blame them. If you're going to copy someone, copy from the best. By the way, Rihanna... you're welcome!"

It sounds ridiculous, but put the two album covers beside each other (like we did above), and they are shockingly similar. Whether or not Heyman will pursue legal action is yet to be seen, but we think this would best be settled in a cage match.

On a similar note, if Rihanna seeks inspiration for Rated R's final cover art, she might want to consider Macho Man Randy Savage as a muse

Rihanna Producer Strikes Back Over Russian ‘Devil’
Lates News“That’s beyond stupid it’s immature. Artist should understand art”….

After reading ‘devil’ worship laden comments from singer Tiffany Evans, Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” producer hit back via Twitter Thursday.

According to Chuck Harmony, Tiffany Evans’ belief that Rihanna’s song would incite a rash of suicides and was the work of a devil worshiping group of Hollywood and music elite, is offensive.

“There are no satanic messages in the music. Maybe if we did a remake of ‘Promise Ring’ (Tiffany’s hit single), then Rihanna wouldn’t be a devil worshipper. People are so closed minded,” wrote Harmony.

“The song is not literal. Like most provocative art, its symbolism. Grow up. I’m never going to defend my art…I create it and then it’s out of my hands. So reviews don’t hurt me, but Tiffany’s unrealistic take on the song really urked me because idiots breed idiots. Bottom line, she is in the music business so she understands that the song is not indicative of the artist views, but rather, it’s the brainchild and vision of the songwriter and producer. With that being said, to use that song as a shining example of devil worship in the music business, you are saying that Ne-yo and Chuck Harmony are devil worshippers. Thats stupid!! That’s beyond stupid it’s immature. Artist should understand art. So with Tiffany Evans rant, I can safely say that the title artist should not be part of her bio.”

You can read Tiffany’s original comment after listening to Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette”

Cryptic tweet signals date for new Rihanna release
New Music(CNN) -- The best way to get tounges wagging is to say nothing at all, and it's a skill Rihanna has down to a science.

Rihanna apparently revealed the release date for her new album over Twitter.

The Barbadian songstress arrived a bit late to the Twitter party when she -- or her people -- created a "rihanna" tag yesterday and sent out a single, sparse tweet: "The Wait Is Ova. Nov. 23 09."

Whether that's the name of a new single, the beginning of a viral marketing campaign -- or both -- is unknown, but a representative for Rihanna told Entertainment Weekly that though the date "looks accurate" for her album release, "The Wait Is Ova" is not the album title.

The only other object fans can mine for clues about the singer's upcoming release is the logo, a metallic nail fashioned into a crudely shaped "R" that has swarmed the Internet.

The new record would be her fourth since her debut at 17. In the four years since, she's evolved from an unknown, breezy pop singer to a sonically and fashionably more distinct persona. One can only expect that her latest effort would continue to show that growth.

Yet there are extra layers of anticipation surrounding the unnamed work: Not only is this Rihanna's follow-up to "Good Girl Gone Bad," the album that made her an international superstar, it's also the first time she is piping up as a solo artist since the infamous fight with her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, in February.

Those who've worked with the star on the record have said to expect something with more ferocity. "Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one," Ne-Yo told E! Online. "Rihanna says some things on this album that you've never heard her say before."

But, said Mariel Concepcion, associate editor for Billboard.com, that statement shouldn't be taken too literally.

"She has changed a bit, but I think she's simply grown. Fans are expecting her to reveal some details, but I think she's going to subliminally let it be known that 'Yes, [Chris] hurt me, but I'm moving forward with life.' This issue was such a serious issue, it calls for more than putting out an angry song about it."

Tracey Johnson, who said she's been a fan of the singer since the beginning, has high expectations for the upcoming release, but not because she expects to hear about Rihanna's personal life.

"[Some fans] feel like it would be good for her to represent abused women in some sort of way and say something, but in my perspective, she doesn't owe us anything," Johnson said. "She's always been pretty private about the relationship, and she's never opened a lot in her music anyway."

If Rihanna maintains her silence, Johnson said, it will be "kind of a hit back at the critics who said she disappeared after not becoming the spokesperson for domestic abuse. She's saying this is what you should be paying attention to: I'm a fashion icon, and I make great music."

Johnson, co-founder and editor of celebrity Web site NeonLimelight.com, has paid close attention to Rihanna's reported studio time over the past few months, but said he didn't expect to see the album appear so soon -- and with a tweet, no less.

"I'm definitely expecting more for this album," she said. "Rihanna has a platform now that she didn't have before 'Good Girl Gone Bad.' She's gone a step forward with each album, and I think it's going to be a little more of what we heard on 'Good Girl Gone Bad,' but to the next level."

That's a prediction that Concepcion agrees with, considering that the people who have been pulled in on this album resemble the team who worked on "Good Girl": Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and Tricky Stewart, who was behind the single "Umbrella" that launched Rihanna to a new level of pop stardom.

Devin Lazerine, editor of Rap-Up.com, said Stewart isn't trying to top the success of "Umbrella," but rather create a sound that would live up to its success.

"Just from hearing 'Run This Town' we can see the direction she's heading in," Lazerine said. "It's going to be darker and more edgy. She was actually going to put that song on this album, and then Jay-Z heard it and they traded songs."

Still, Lazerine said, "dark" and "edgy" don't always equal "personal."

"She's all about the music and the sound -- I think we're going to get something that embodies her fashion sense," he said. "I don't think there's going to be much about the Chris Brown situation; I don't even think her fans expect that. They just want something that pushes the boundaries."
